  • The interview was a little disappointing.

Jon starts off tonight's show by expressing his excitement of meeting Senator Ted Kennedy, who apparently travels with quite a posse.

Moving on, Jon turns to the news about Karl Rove, who has decided to step aside to focus on the mid-term elections. He's being replaced by someone just as passionate, who will have the same mindless dedication to the cause, according to Jon.

The President of China was just in Washington D.C. to meet with President Bush, but first, he met with someone more important, Bill Gates, I kid you not. During his time in Washington, D.C., the Chinese president was heckled by a woman who wanted more attention to be focused on the human rights problems in China.

Moving on, Jon introduces a piece from Jason Jones called "Not In Your Front Yard". This story is about a woman who isn't allowed to put up a sign in her lawn, stating she supports the troops. This all takes place in a planned community in Florida. Jason confronts the President of the city board about this, but Jason isn't able to get too far with him. Although an Iraq War veteran, the President isn't willing to bend the rules for the woman.

Back from commercial, Jon welcomes tonight's guest, Senator Ted Kennedy. Jon and Senator Kennedy talk about a variety of subjects, but it all centered on what the Democrats have done and what they need to do in the future.

The interview with Senator Kennedy was what most interested me in tuning in tonight, and I was surprised to find that that wouldn't end up being the highlight, but rather Jason Jones' field piece. It was very funny throughout, and I hope this gets re-aired in the future once or twice. The interview with Senator Kennedy was a little disappointing. There was little to no discussion about what the Democrats have failed to do, no discussion about how the Democrats choked in the 2004 election. If things continue, the Republicans will be in power for several more years, unfortunately.moreless
