  • Brillant work of the writer Over a great Episode.

How Long? When will the dream that Johnny has in this episode become a reality on the show?He It's high time he deserve it, I'ts been three years now, and Sarah and Johnny are yet to be an item. I like Walt, but he should know that you can't get in between two people who are just meant to be together. They are each other's destiny, which is a real treat seeing that Season 1 finale has the same title.

I love this episode, because it not only gave Johnny, but the viewers a look at 'what if'.moreless
  • So rarely has a TV episode left me confused.

And by leaving me confused I mean leaving me wondering what the heck just happened. Now, I'm not the birhgtest of people, but I know my way around. And this episode just leaves me standing in the dark, not knowing where to go and what to do.

I just watched it and have already forgotten what happened. What triggered all of this, what was the reason, what has he done, and why did everything end up all normal. Or did it? I've got to give it to the writers for actually making an alternate reality script worth watching. In the usual stuff you know what's real and what's not, but here, well, I honestly had no clue where I was half the time. Or the entire time, for that matter.

    Seriously, wtf.moreless

Johnny: Is he coming on to you?
      Sarah: Oh, you know Walt.
Johnny: Because I can take him. He has the upper body but I'm quicker.
      Sarah: Behave yourself.

    • Marco: Your mother has been waiting for you since nine...
      Johnny: What?
      Marco: She's in your office.
      Johnny: My mother's alive?
Marco: She was moving pretty well when I checked in on her.

    • Johnny: What is this doing here? (holding up a cane)
Walt: It's a hospital, John - they have canes.

    • Johnny: So, Walt, how long has it been since I started this County Commission thing?
Walt: Going on two years already, isn't it?
Johnny: Amazing, how time flies. And would you say that I'm doing a good job so far?
Walt: Yes, but, I would like to see more support for my budget.
Johnny: Your budget? That's right, the Commission oversees your department, you work for me?
Walt: Well, in a manner of speaking, but...
Johnny: I could fire you? Give you the old heave-ho. Chase you right out the County. Not that I ever would.
Walt: Or could, since I'm an elected official too.
Johnny: That darn democracy thing again.

    • (Johnny calls Bruce)
      Johnny: Bruce it's me.
      Bruce: Who is this?
      Johnny: Me, Johnny.
      Bruce: Johnny, who?
Johnny: Johnny, damnit! Coma Johnny, Johnny with the visions? Serial killer? Mom alive in Saigon, Johnny? Hockey player with the heart condition Johnny?

    • Little Johnny: Why do we need to learn how to spell when we have spellcheck?

    • Johnny: Cute. Is that how we got the other kid that's running around here?

    • Johnny: Do you believe in miracles, Reverend?
Reverend Purdy: I'd have to, or I'd have to find a new line of work.

    • Aired on the "Sci-Fi Channel" on September 6, 2002

    • Instead of airing on July 28, 2002, another schedule change/flip was made on July 15. The episode, "Enemy Mind" aired in its place. Michael Piller said the adding of special effects to "Netherworld" during post production was the reason for the episode's delayed broadcast.

    • Originally scheduled to air July 14, 2002 after the episode, "Enigma." A schedule change/flip was made on June 26 where the episode, "Unreasonable Doubt" was aired in its place.
