  • A Bruce episode.

    9.5
Bruce has been a little left out of this seaosn and it was time for a good episode involving Bruce and this was it. Bruce travels with Johnny back to his hometown to attend his fathers funeral the only problem is that when Bruce and Johnny touch the body togehter Bruce gets trapped inside a vision which Johnny would normally have had. Bruce is forced to sort out his relationship with his father while he still can. This was an almost touching episode the first really of its kind. This is yet another example to show how great the Dead Zone can be at times. Bring on the next episode.moreless
  • Louis Gossett Jr. delivers the Dead Zone's best guest performance

    9.1
This episode is probably in the top 5 episodes of this series. Everything about this episode was absolutely terrific.

This is the "Bruce" episode of the series and it was very cleverly done. The writing was superb as usual. Let me take this moment to mention Louis Gossett Jr., who did a phenomonal job as David Lewis, Bruce's father. This is hands down, the best guest performance in a season full of amazing guest stars. He shines beyond the call of duty, and delivers a memorable performance fans of the series will never forget.

The episode reflects the book and movie in a number of ways. The alternate Johnny that would have been is much like the Johnny Smith in the book and movie. And it is very believeable. The memorable scenes came in barrels in this episode, including watching Bruce preaching, and any scene with Louis Gosset Jr. on screen. The ending was simply amazing. Absolutely amazing. Watching what ultimately would happen to Johnny had Bruce not been there and watching Bruce and his father connect was truly touching.

In the end, what a spectacular episode that was simply terrific. A memorable episode that will be remembered and when looked back on, will be a strong part of the Dead Zone legacy.moreless
  • We find out about bruce and his family

    7.2
Wow, what another brillant episoide, i always wonder a little about bruce family history and this episoide was really helpful for me to see what his father is like and where he came from, i really liked how vision helped him to say goodbye to his father and it showed him what his father dream is.

it's amazing to see how messed up Jonny was in alternative reality and the fact that if bruce wasn't there he would kill Stillson, we all knew he had it in him but it shows how bruce has helped jonny become a better person which showed effect a human-being can have on 1 person.

The ending with him cutting off his hair was strange, i can't get used to him like that but it look like i will have to.
