  • O'Connell and Belushi have less chemistry than a chair and a table putting the final nail in the boring coffin that is The Defenders.

The idea of a simple show about the DA in Las Vegas isn't all too bad. You have the supporting females, the flashy city and two male leads who banter but are loyal partners. The concept gets compromised in the finale when Morelli and Kaczmarek have to separate to defend their friends who are accused of murder. The case itself lacks any kind of focus, which results in no interest from the viewer. The plot points are so boring that it hardly matters that they are badly written. The finale, much like the show, is for people who just want to waist an hour with some moving images, cheap jokes and very, very old humor. There is absolutely nothing 'hot' about this show. And even though it has a cliche ending, it hardly feels like a finale.
