      • The woman refered to in this episode "Empress Carlota" is Charlotte of Belgium (June 7, 1840–January 19, 1927)(Carlota is Spanish for Charlotte). She was he only daughter of Léopold I, King of the Belgians and was the consort of Emperor Maximilian of Mexico (formerly the Archduke Maximilian of Austria). After his execution in Mexico, she was later declared insane by her brother and kept under doctors care. Edit
