it's a shame... even though this show is a classic, it doesn't even get a personlized banner... but it was intersting to watch the ruiniion. i liked it when they showed bits from the shows. *did mary tyler moor have some facelifts or what?! )

Okay, I'm here now! I loved the reunion, too. I have seen it 4 times now! And you know, I wonder about Mary Tyler Moore, too, because she was so pretty on the Dick Van Dyke Show, but then even on the Mary Tyler Moore Show she didn't seem as pretty. And her face does look stretched out now, so maybe she did have a face lift. I also liked seeing Ann Morgan Guilbert who played Millie Helper, because she also played Yetta on "The Nanny". So it was interesting seeing what she looks like without all the strange wig and clothes she wore as Yetta!

So what are some of your favorite episodes? I don't know any of the names, but I will describe my favs.

Of course, I like the one where Rob is having the strange dream about the walnuts or whatever kind of nuts they were. The one where Laura comes out of the closet sliding on all the nuts! This one is really funny!

I also like the one where they describe the birth of Richie and how Rob thought they got the wrong baby at the hospital!

I like the one where they describe why Richie's middle name is Rosebud.

And the one where Rob and Jerry go skiing and Rob gets all banged up, but doesn't want to let Laura know.

There are lots of other great episodes, but those are just a few of my favs.

    I LOVE this show!
It's my favorite show on TVLand.

My favorite episode is the one where Laura knows judo, so she flips that guy in the bar, and Rob gets all mad...

There are so many good episodes...
    Dick Van Dyke's pretty sweet.

I don't think the kid who plays Richie can act very well...
    But maybe that's just me...

I love every episode. I grew up watching the reruns. I remember driving my dad crazy by saying things like, "They knew about cholesterol back then!?!" after Rob made some passing reference to it. Great show.

MTM has been very open about her past. I seem to recall her saying that she had a facelift when the MTM Show ended (MTMS is another great show). It is a shame that even someone as lovely as she would feel compelled to have plastic surgery.

I am shocked that this board is so under-populated. Is that pretty typical on tv.com? I'm a newbie.

That's cuz most of the ppl on TV Tome are kids, and they don't typically watch many old shows.

Our family grew up on TV Land, so I've always been a big fan.

They showed the one where Jerry and Rob go skiing last week. I think it was called "Don't Trip Over the Mountain". Another one I just saw was the one where Rob messes up one wall in the living room and they hire the Italian master painter to paint the whole room and he practically moves into their house.

I grew up watching the show in rerun so I hope there are plenty of kids out there right now doing the same. Of course, back in my day (ouch!), it was on five days a week at the perfect time for school kids to watch it in the morning (just after Lucy).

On a Van Dyke related note, I just tried to rent Cold Turkey from netflix only to dicover that they don't have it. Maybe it's not on DVD... I have no idea why but I loved that movie as a kid.

Those were all good eps. I also liked the one where Laura dies her hair blonde--well, half her hair. MTM was very funny in that ep.
