Episode Summary

EDIT
Lisa and Kate are unhappy to discover that Drew has promised the job as head personal shopper to both of them. He decides that he will observe Lisa, Kate and Mimi shopping for three of the store's most difficult customers. He insists that he will judge them on their performance alone, and hopes that his decision will not affect his relationships with Kate and Lisa. Lisa does very well with her customer, and even fends off his attempts to hit on her. Kate finally gets her indecisive client to make up her mind by taking her out of view of the security cameras and threatening violence. Mimi ends up punching out her client, a woman who wants to dress like a pre-teen. With Mimi out of the running, Drew decides on the ultimate test to choose between Lisa and Kate. They must each outfit the most mean-spirited customer anyone could ever encounter: Mimi. Kate makes Mimi look good, but Mimi is embarrassed by the conservative outfit. Lisa dresses Mimi in an outrageous ensemble that she absolutely loves. Lisa wins the job for being more in touch with the customer's wishes. Drew consoles Kate, who insists that there are no hard feelings. Lisa and Drew are now able to date openly.moreless

I must admit that this episode wasn't great, but it was decent and fairly entertaining. I think that the best parts of the episode had to be where the three women of Mimi, Lisa, and Kate have to fight for the job. Drew has to pick one of them and it is not pretty. I liked the fact that Mimi failed to impress and lost out. I also liked that Lisa won after Drew made a hard choice. It wasn't because she was his girlfriend, but because she was the most ready. Overall, it was a decent episode that was entertaining. Thank you.moreless

Good episode. The stuff about Drew deciding if he wanted to hire his best friend Kate or his girlfriend Lisa so they could date cracked me up. And Mimi's clothes at the end were just so freakin funny.

[TV.Com Recap]Drew catches a ride to work from a few members of the store security, along with one of the new dog recruits. They play around with Drew, incorrectly guessing the attack command, which scares Drew, who accidentally says the attack word, shotgun.

Lisa comes into work with Drew, and flirts with him. She also brought by some clothes since the dog tore his others up in the car. After she leaves, Oswald and Lewis come in and tell Drew about how Oswald found a ticking package. Drew proceeds to tell him about the situation with Kate, Lisa and Mimi. They're of no help, obviously. Kate comes in with a bribe of cookies, and Lisa then comes in with a bribe of a cake. They both end up realizing what's going on and get upset at Drew. He eventually tells them Mimi is also up for the job. What's difficult about Mimi is she's got the backing of Mr. Bell. Kate and Lisa decide to shake hands and they'll go along with whatever Drew decides.

Drew talks to Max, who is head of cosmetics. Drew asks him to retire, but when he finds out Kate would get the job, he refuses to retire.

Drew calls Mimi, Kate and Lisa in to tell them that the way he's going to handle the hiring is to have each of them be the personal shopper for one day, and whoever does the best job will be hired.

Drew joins Chuck in the security room to watch everything. Lisa deals with a man who hits on her, Kate deals with a woman who has a terrible time making decisions, and Mimi gets into a fight with the person she's supposed to help. So, it's a tie between Lisa and Kate. Drew decides to have them personal shop for Mimi, and use that as a tiebreaker.

Oswald and Lewis are sitting at Drew's desk talking about Oswald delivering a package to a 600-pound woman who was naked when she answered the door. Drew then comes in and has Mimi try on the clothes Lisa and Kate picked out for her. Drew ends up giving the job to Lisa, with bummed Kate out. Drew promises to give Kate the next manager job that opens up, which she appreciates him saying. Kate goes on to say that she's going to work even harder in the future.

The show end with Oswald hitting on a woman who Drew has learned to be a man by watching the security cameras and talking to Chuck.

This episode lacked the really hilarious moments, but the story Oswald told Lewis about the 600 pound woman was pretty funny.moreless
