Bringing Up Boss (1)
AIRED:
Lord Mercer announces that he is making his 19-year-old daughter, Milan, the new store president. She is disgusted, but he hopes that the job will teach her some responsibility. Lord Mercer tells Drew that he must make sure Milan does a good job or lose his co-manager position. She messes up a negotiation with a union by bringing in her boyfriend, D'Artagnan, and groping him the whole time. Drew asks Kate to talk to Milan and convince her to focus on her job instead of devoting all her time to her boyfriend. Milan takes her advice and gets dumped. She forces Drew to go work at the docks. Kate feels bad for Drew and agrees to try to get D'Artagnan to take Milan back. Kate instead sleeps with D'Artagnan just because he gives her some stupid look. Milan plans to give Drew his old job back, until she learns what Kate has done. Milan vanishes on the day that her father has come in to check on her progress. Drew sees her on the edge of the building preparing to jump.moreless

  • The store's new President arrives.

Tonight's show opens with Mimi racing into the store, announcing the new store's President is a woman. Lord Mercer then comes in and introduces his daughter, Milan, to Mimi, Mr. Wick, and Drew. As Milan is ready to leave, Lord Mercer tells her that her new birthday present is the store, which definitely doesn't please her or anyone else. Mr. Wick is clearly concerned by her lack of experience. When Milan tells her father her disinterest in running the store, he responds by telling her that she won't get any inheritance if she doesn't do well with the store. As Lord Mercer is about to leave, he tells Drew that it's his job to make sure Milan does a good job with the store or he'll be back in a cubicle.

The next day, Drew comes into work and is upset about Milan not showing up on time for the meeting with the dock worker's union reps. As Drew goes to meet with them on his own, Mr. Wick comes out of his office to see if Milan has arrived, but she hasn't. A few seconds later, Milan comes in and Mimi takes her down to see the union reps.

We now join Drew, who's with the union workers. They're about to go on strike if they're unable to get some changes to their contract. Milan then comes in and starts negotiating with the union reps when her boyfriend, D'Artagnan comes into the room. While the negotiations go on, she and D'Artagnan make out, which causes a lot of problems in the negotiations.

At the Warsaw, Drew describes what happened at the meeting to Lewis, Oswald, and Steve. Kate then stops by at the request of Drew. He wants her to talk to Milan about getting her priorities straight. Milan then joins Kate at one of the tables for a little discussion. Kate does her best to tell Milan that she needs to focus on running the store, and not being with D'Artagnan.

When Drew comes into work, he finds out that Milan has fired an entire floor of employees. Milan tells Drew that D'Artagnan dumped her, and it was because of his suggestion to talk to Kate. As a form of punishment, Milan demotes Drew to working the dock. When we see him, Drew's bent over a box, trying to drag it to a pallet, but he's clearly hurting.

A few hours later, Mr. Wick comes down to see Drew and tells him that they need to get Milan a new boyfriend to focus her attention on so that she'll stop screwing things up. Kate comes down to see Drew, who suggests that Kate stop by D'Artagnan's place and convince him that she made a mistake, and that the two of them should get back together.

Later that day, Kate drops by D'Artagnan's studio to talk to him about Milan. Once inside, D'Artagnan flirts with her, and she falls for him instantly.

At the Warsaw, Lewis and Oswald ask Drew how things are going on the loading dock. He says things are going fine, but he's barely capable of moving a bowl of pretzels across a table. Kate then comes in and tells Drew that things didn't go so well with D'Artagnan... they somehow managed to get naked in a tub together. Milan then comes in and promotes Drew back to his old position. She then tells everyone about how she wants to get back with D'Artagnan. A minute later, Milan gets a call from D'Artagnan, who tells her about having sex with Kate. This obviously doesn't go over so well, so she runs out of the bar.

Back at the store, Lord Mercer comes in to ask Drew about Milan. Drew's horrified to see Milan climbing out onto the ledge of the building. This episode is to be continued...

The show ends with D'Artagnan trying to teach "the look" to Lewis and Oswald at the Warsaw. When the guys try it on two ladies at the bar, it scares them off. Oddly, it works on Tim, the bartender, who gives them two beers for free.moreless
