En route to heaven, Drew encounters his nephew, who is on his way to Earth to be born. The baby takes note of Drew's sarcastic comments about Mimi and fears that his mother is a terrible person. The gang takes the comatose Drew's body home and tries to make his nurse serve them. The baby nearly chokes after Oswald tries to feed him a pretzel. Mimi comforts the child and says that she would not be able to go on if something happened to him. The baby is convinced of her love and decides that he is ready to switch with Drew. Drew becomes very sad at the prospect of not being able to spend any more time with his friends. He decides that he wants to return to Earth. • "Its like a portal to another dimension!" [Nigel Wick]

A great episode. Drew playing the baby was the best part like the parts where he had he Rectal Thermometor go up him or when he was breast fed by Mimi. a Classic.

[Tv.com Recap] The show opens with Drew still in the coma at the hospital. The doctor tells Kate, Lewis and Oswald that Drew's falling further into his coma since they pulled the plug. With nothing to lose, the three of them divulge some of their secrets to Drew, a few of which are a little embarrassing.

In another room at the hospital, Mimi is getting a little further along in the delivery of her baby when Steve gets out the camera to film everything. He's concerned about both Mimi and Drew, which is obviously frustrating for him. Mr. Wick then walks in and Steve tells him to take over the camera. Mr. Wick resists at first, but he doesn't have much of a choice when Mimi yells at him.

Back to Drew's room, Kate tries to get Drew to come back by pushing on his chest. Unfortunately, this causes Drew to flat-line.

We now see Drew floating up to heaven. On his way up, Drew meets other people who are dying, and then runs into Mimi's baby, on his way down from heaven. When Drew tells him how bad things are back on Earth, the baby has second thoughts of being born, and goes back up to heaven.

Back in Mimi's room, Mimi is having difficulty delivering the baby. The nurse says it's like the baby doesn't want to be born. Mimi and Steve try to talk to the baby, but it doesn't do any good.

Back to Drew, he's able to catch up to Mimi's baby. He tells him Mimi and Steve are good people and he shouldn't be afraid. Still unsure, the baby tells Drew to go back down as him to prove that things are okay. Drew reluctantly agrees to go down.

In Drew's room, Oswald is frustrated over Drew's current state of health, so he punches Drew's chest a few times, which causes Drew's heart to start again, causing Oswald to grow a bit of an ego for a minute.

Over in Mimi's room, the labor progresses to the point where the baby is born, and we see Drew, all wrapped in a baby blanket. Mr. Wick is busy filming, but he'd rather get the attractive nurse on camera than Mimi and her baby.

Now home, Mimi and Steve are enjoying their newborn baby when they decide to check his temperature. Unfortunately for Drew, they use a rectal thermometer. Throughout the scene, Drew's trying to convince the real baby that things are okay and it's okay to change places with him. We also learn that Kate's decided to bring Drew back home since there's little hope that Drew will come out of the coma.

At Drew's, we join Lewis, Oswald and Kate playing cards in the front room. Oddly enough, they dealt a hand for Drew, who is lying on a hospital bed in the front room. Kate convinces the nurse who's taking care of him to get her a beer, but only after some insults. Steve and Mimi then come in with their baby. When the baby (Drew) is left alone with Kate, Oswald and Lewis, he tries to tell them what's going on, but the guys can't understand him. When Drew, as the baby, chokes, Mimi runs in to help him.

We quickly transition to Drew and the baby on their way to/from heaven. They talk about Mimi, and then Drew tells the baby that he's going to go back and live.

Back to Earth, Drew comes to and gets to meet his nephew for real now. When Drew tells Mimi about trading bodies with her baby, she thinks Drew is crazy and tells Steve that Drew won't ever get to see her baby.

The show ends with Drew, Lewis, Oswald and Kate drinking in Drew's kitchen. When Drew asks them if they sold his car after the car accident, there's an awkward silence. We're then shown several bloopers from the first scene in the episode.

The way this multi-part episode ended was well done. The storyline was kind of cute, I admit. Although Mr. Wick received very little attention, the little stuff he did was pretty funny. My favorite part of tonight's episode was the bloopers shown at the end. The series as a whole has a lot of bloopers, and I was glad they included a few of them.moreless
