The Drew Carey Show

Season 9 Episode 1

Drew Hunts Silver Fox

Aired Daily 9:00 PM Jun 02, 2004 on ABC

  • Trivia

    • When Drew meets Oswald in the Warsaw, he asks Oswald if he's hooked Woody and Kim up yet and Oswald says he's hooked them up for that night. But after Drew tells him all the crap abut Woody, Drew mentions that he already canceled the date. He didn't even know about it 'til the start of the scene! I know Oswald ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but even he should have picked up on that.

    • ABC broadcast many of the ninth season episodes out of order even though there were continuing storylines. This was the twelfth episode produced.

    • When the episode is played in syndication on TBS, the network airs this episode twelfth in season 9.

    • The camera angles are different from the previous seasons.

    • Ryan Stiles does not appear in this episode.

    • This episode clearly aired out of order, given that the episode in which Drew's father died did not air until a later date.

    • Theme song: "Cleveland Rocks" by Metal Shop

  • Allusions

    • Beulah: We watch TV together. We like that show with the Australian in the shorts where he teaches children to pick up poisonous animals.

This is a reference to the late Steve Irwin. He was a zookeeper, wildlife expert and conservationist whose show, The Crocodile Hunter, was shown in the USA on Animal Planet.
