Episode Summary

EDIT
The Warsaw Closes
AIRED:
Mimi and Steve buy the house next door to the Warsaw, and she taunts Drew about the fact that she will always be nearby when he is trying to unwind. Drew, Lewis and Oswald get drunk and urinate on her front lawn. She catches them in the act and files a complaint. Because a number of neighbors have complained about the boorish behavior of the bar patrons, the Warsaw is stripped of its liquor license. Drew apologizes to Mimi, but admits that he doesn't mean it. He convinces the Warsaw's owner to slip alcohol into all of the food (soup, lemonade, etc.) but Mimi reports the owner and has him arrested. Drew does not understand why Mimi is so upset about this particular prank. Steve explains that she has never lived in a house before, so it is very special to her. Drew apologizes and creates a little gnome town for her front yard. Mimi drops the complaint. Meanwhile, Lewis and Oswald prove that their stupidity knows no limits as they try to "milk" snakes and sell their venom.moreless

  • The Warsaw gets closed down!

Lewis and Oswald are sneaking into Drew's house in the middle of the night. They're carrying an aquarium full of snakes. They want to milk the snakes of their venom, and sell their venom to the drug company so they can make anti-venom. Lewis ends up getting bit, and Oswald has to inject him with the anti-venom so he won't die. Easy money.

At the Warsaw, Drew and Mr. Wick are hanging out at the bar. Mr. Wick's got a new girlfriend, who's only 21 years old. His date doesn't seem to go so well.

In walk Lewis and Oswald, who have bandaids all over themselves, but tell Drew that they got cut shaving, one another.

Mimi and Steve come in and reveal they've bought the house next to the Warsaw. After they leave, Oswald starts to foam at the mouth because of the snake bites.

Lewis, Oswald, and Mimi decide to welcome Mimi to the neighborhood, by leaving a note in the snow, so to speak. Mimi comes out with a shotgun, which scares off the guys. When she sees the pee in the snow, she cries.

At the Warsaw, police officers come in. They're here to close the place down because of complaints. Everyone is really upset about closing-down of the bar, even more so when they figure out that it was Mimi's complaint about the pee in her front yard, that was the last straw.

Over at Mimi's house, Drew is throwing snowballs at the house, trying to get Mimi to come out. He's also resorting to ringing her door-bell, which is unusually long. Mimi eventually comes out and they argue with one-another. Steve then comes outside to yell at Drew and Mimi and tell them to knock it off. Drew apologizes because he wants the bar back open.

At Drew's house, Lewis and Oswald are milking the snakes, and they lost a snake somewhere.

Drew and Kate walk in, tired from walking around asking for signatures to get the bar opened. Drew, Kate, Lewis, and Oswald think of ways to get the place open. Lewis even comes up with the idea of turning it into a church, since they can do anything in a church.

At the Warsaw, Lewis and Oswald join Drew for a salad and "special dressing". The dressing is actually beer.

Mimi comes into the bar with the police in tow. Mimi proves to the police that they're serving beer, and the police arrest Tony, the bartender.

Mimi and Drew then get into another argument. Once Mimi leaves, Steve talks to Drew and convinces him to apologize to Mimi because of everything.

Drew then turns on the lights outside, and Drew covered her front yard with lights, trolls, and all sorts of things, and she loved it.

The show ends with Lewis and Oswald doing an impression of Steve Irwin, playing with snakes around Drew as he sleeps.

I actually liked this episode, with the Warsaw closing down and everything. The subplot with Lewis and Oswald milking the snakes for profit was hilarious. It was a classic get-rich-quick scheme from Lewis.moreless

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Kate: They can't close the Warsaw. That's where I lost my over-50-guys virginity.
Drew: You mean your guys-over-50 virginity, right?
      Kate: Uhh...yeah.

    • Female Cop: I'm sorry, but we're going to have to close this bar down.
Lewis: Well, I didn't want to resort to this, but...
(approaches female cop in an attempt to flirt with her and keep the bar open)
Lewis: Hey, baby. How'd you like to take a bath without ever having to step into a tub. (sticks out his tongue and licks his lips)
Female Cop: I'm a lesbian, thank god.
Kate O'Brien: (approaches female cop to try her luck at flirting with the cop) Please don't take away our bar.
Female Cop: Sorry. I never paid for it in my life.

    • Mimi (to Drew): If you hear a high-pitched scream, it's your brother because I'm doing something freaky to him.

    • (Mr. Wick is dressed in leather)
Drew: Sir, you forgot to wear an age-appropriate outfit. And when I say "age," I'm talking about the age we're living in.

    • Mr. Wick: Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and pitch a woo at my bee-yotch.

    • Drew: This is just great. First the government makes me wear a seatbelt, then they make me take the asbestos out of my house, and now they're shutting down the place where I drink! Why are they trying to keep me alive?!

    • Drew (to Mimi): I've set your desk on fire, I've ruined your clothes, I've thrown dead animals at you. And what upsets you? A little wee-wee on your lawn!

    • Drew: It's Mimi. She eats, she sleeps, she messes up my life. That's what she does--that's ALL she does!

    • Mimi (about moving next to the Warsaw): Whenever you drink a beer, I'll be there. Whenever you bite into a burger, I'll be there. Whenever you...do you do anything else here?

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Four of the snakes held captive by Oswald and Lewis are named after members of the "Jackson 5" music group- Tito, Marlon, Jermaine and Michael (the "most valuable" snake!).

    • Lewis does a bad impression of Steve Irwin (the Crocodile Hunter) while trying to capture one of their loose snakes from Drew's bedroom.
