      • Mary: You look like a real duchess, you do.

Louisa: Ooh, blimey, I'm glad I'm not one. What a life! Nothing to do all day except eat too much, sleep too much, talk too much.

      • Louisa: You'll answer all the letters the day they come. That way it's more polite, especially people enquiring about rooms and that. Have a look at them; (Points at letters.)

Mary: How can I tell if they're the right sort of people, ma'am, not being a snob like you?

    • NOTES (1)

      • The video tapes put out by BBC Video treat this and the next episode very oddly. On tape two of set one episode four "The Bargain" takes up the first 51 minutes of the tape. This episode than takes up the next 35 minutes, then episode six "For Love or Money" plays in full for 52 minutes before returning for the last 14 minutes of this episode. What boneheaded marketing decision caused this is beyond me.
This is the only time this happens on either set of tapes all other episodes are roughly 50 minutes long. Hopefully, when they bring the series out on dvd they will put the opening and closing credits back in and correct this error.
