This episode is a musical variety show telling the story of Florenz Ziegfeld and his Ziegfeld Follies and includes portrayals of some of the famous stars of that show, such as Anna Held, Mademoiselle Dazie and her Salome Dancers, Nora Bayes, and the Dolly Sisters. Joan Crawford hosts the show and the performers Barbara Cook, Marilynn Lovell, Danny Meehan and Jack Irwin and dancer Jayne Turner create scenes and numbers from the Ziegfeld Follies.
