      • Michael Peterson added the following:
Let's see, arguably Bill Haley & the Comets were the best on this episode, they performed "Forty Cups of Coffee" a song that had been released just five weeks earlier, and the instrumental "Rudy's Rock" (not necessarily in this order), which featured saxophone player Rudy Pompilli running and blowing through the audience. I never saw the Lena Horne performance. Keep in mind that in just two months after this, Bill Haley & the Comets would lose their American popularity.
