--Ed Sullivan begins to announce this week's guests. He is interrupted by the Pompoff Thedy family (comedy trio, vaudeville comedians) who show Ed some magic tricks.

--Ed appears with three Boy Scouts (in celebration of the Boy Scouts' Golden Anniversary). The Scouts recite the scout oath.

--Pompoff and Thedy again interrupt Ed.
