Does anybody have a copy of this episode or any related footage, i would greatly appreciate it if anybody has any information or links that would be of help. My father Brendan O'Dowda appeared on this show and i am currently writing a book about his life, so any information or archive footage i can find would greatly help me and will be much appreciated. Ive never had the opportunity to see actual footage of this episode nor has my mother or immediate family, so to find a copy would mean the world to us all. Many thanks, Damien O'Dowdamoreless

There was a feeling of being proud to be Irish.

Mary o Hara delighted us all with her playing on the harp and the Clancy Brothers kept the Irish theme up by performing traditional Irish airs or songs. I do believe Senator/President J.F.Kennedy was in the audience. I wish I had a copy of this particular show - perhaps dreams do come true.

If you share the same memories as I do of that night then I would be delighted to hear from you Ed Sullivan was a fantastic entertainer and is sadly missed. We will never see his like again - sadly !moreless
