  • Dusty Springfield, as well as Gerry and the Pacemakers were on the same show together. This was quite an episode in music history.

If you think about it for a moment, this really was an amazing moment in TV history. Dusty Springfield AND Gerry and the Pacemakers together live. This truly was the English Invasion. I was eleven years old, and just lucky enough to be a studio audience member. This show was The Pacemakers second in a row. They had played the previous Sunday, and Ed had invited them back, just like he\'d done two months before for The Beatles. I was in the studio audience the week before for their first show, too, when they appeared with Little Stevie Wonder. Don\'t think that I had a ticket either. I got in by prying a side door open and sneaking in. Both shows were quite simply, amazing.moreless
