  • A teenage boy hires McCall for help after his father stole a truckload of antiques, which resulted in the man's friend being shot dead and the man now being wanted by the Mob. McCall also helps an old lady who is sure someone is stalking her. Average...moreless

I don't really know how to sum this one up. It was a pretty good episode, although had a slightly more 'average' feel to it than some of the others. It wasn't filler material, but not as strong as some other episodes of the season either.

I found it quite hard to really identify with either the teenager or his father. His father in particular is an awkward character – he was pushed into stealing the truck by his best friend, being rather easily led. We are given nothing to neither really like nor dislike about the character, making him very difficult to relate to.

The episode's b-plot revolves around McCall helping an 'eccentric' old lady, who is sure that someone is watching her outside her apartment. She has a list of past imagined complaints, but McCall has a feeling this one may be genuine.

Unlike some other b-plots, which can make the episode in question seem a bit uneven, I felt that this one slotted in well, and didn't take away from the main story at all.

Veteran actor Joseph Wiseman gives a reasonable turn as Eddie Vanessi, the head of the local Mob who wants his antiques back – and the person who stole them.

I like McCall's set-up to nab the Mobsters on the harbour – very 'A-Team' like!

All-in-all, this episode is probably average, but good average.moreless
