It Gives Me Great Pleasure
AIRED:
George Howell intends on signing Liza to his speakers bureau, but she wants no part of it because of severe stage fright. His persistence eventually wears her down, but her fear grows as the first lecture approaches. To calm her down, he tells her about the old speaker's trick: just imagine that everyone in the audience looks foolish; maybe they have flashing red noses or they're sitting around in their underwear.moreless

      • Nora: (helping Liza rehearse, she reads this introduction) It gives me great please to introduce our speaker of the afternoon: a woman whose pioneer efforts in the field of biochemistry served as a shining example to all--
        Liza: Biochemistry?
Nora: Oh. Why I guess I should have changed that when I copied it. It was written for Madam Curie.
