Mediocre episode, pace was quite slow and the storyline was once again filled with cliches and obvious plot devices. Of course the man in the contamination suit succombs to sudden incompetence cutting his own suit becoming infected and of course Vicky decides to help Sean on some harebrained mission from a man who she readily admits she believes is insane but is nonetheless forced by the plot to once again assist Sean Walker in his exploits. Even so the ending with Director Sterling was fairly well done.

I was underwhelmed by "the weapon". The "Spanish" flu does not kill like that and its mortality rate is woefully inadequate for the purpose. Well, as Sophia imagines her purpose anyway. She does not need to kill any of us to bring her 2.5 billion here. The Earth could hold and feed them, especially in the unlikely event (oops) that they have any technology that does anything useful instead of just killing and destroying. I was really hoping the weapon was something they buried in 1000 BC for possible use against who-/what-ever it was that drove them across 11 million light years to the Earth in the first place. That would have made killing off most of us at least plausible. Otherwise the show was ok. A necessary advance of the plot, such as it is, and barely acceptable as long as you turn up your willing suspension of disbelief to eleven. It is probably futile to hope that Martinez will have the decency to die and Jarvis will prove to be cleverer than he appears. It would have made a more interesting show if he had had the courage to try to redeem himself by leading the Martinez crew to capture Sophia in the previous episode even if that did leave the Imbecile In Chief alive. I guess it's sort of significant that we haven't seen the cabinet up to now; that the only people Martinez has been talking to are paranoid military officers who turned a minor scandal into a near-war.Didn't it ever occur to him that legitimate government officials might have more intellgent ideas?

Slow not quite the snore feast tv.com said it would be but the typical dumb story to push things along. Why Sean is the focus now couldn't tell you but I can say I don't like it. Why would the vp assume that the deadly aliens would let the country with all the nukes live is he that blind in his ambitions?

Pretty good episode, the plot thickens. Like DebraMcClure said in the review, it was no snooze fest like the TV.com writers talk about. Since its beginning the writers let us know that they were against the show and all they do is try to convince us to do the same.
