  • I can't believe they cancelled this. It had so much potential. And it was so good.

I really enjoyed every episode from this series and think it is tragedy it was cancelled. The same with Killer Instinct.

This episode was hilarious, and thought provoking, watching Cole and Bishop react to each other seeing how each one deals with certain parts of their lives.

If you can only ever see one episode of this fantastic series, watch this one. It has some classic moments and some truly exciting moments, especially the way you get told the evidence at the beginning but can't quite work out how it all happened. This programme was brilliant. You had to think what might happen but keep your eyes open for developments during the episodes, but none more so than during this episode.moreless

  • Unexciting at best; derivative at worst.

This episode is a prime example of why this show was not renewed -- or, if there has been a reprieve, it should be reconsidered. It harks back to the days of Murder She Wrote and Matlock in that even if there is a mystery, the clues are so frequent and obvious that the ending has been given away within the first 5-10 minutes. This would not be so bad, except even the twist at the end is banal. I suppose in the age of Law and Order, CSI, and other shows that thrive on the unexpected, the creators were attempting to inject some change into the genre. However, uninspired writing, lack of focus on the detective work, minimal gestures at solving Cole's mystery, and too much time spent on characters' personal lives in throw-away shots set to music or conversational digressions leave me longing for either a solid mystery or a traditional procedural. It's a waste, at the very least, of Martin Landau's talent; he deserves better.moreless
