      • Blair: Mrs. Garrett, a salesperson needs warmth, style, charisma. All Jo has is bluster and a good left hook.

      • Jo: Blair, listen, umm, I don't know what to wear to my interview, do you think you could... umm, I mean I could use...
        Blair: Help?
Jo: (walks away a few steps and mumbles) Sort of.
Blair: I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear that.
        Jo: (squeaky) Well, yeah...
Blair: No, go ahead, feel free to beg.
Jo: You're really bustin' my chops, aren't ya?
Blair: (grinning) Yeah! (takes Jo by the shoulders) Come on, we'll see if we can find something suitable. Or just clean.

      • Jo: Face it, Blair's right. I have a personality problem. I'm pushy and irritating and definitely lacking charisma.
        Blair: Wrong attitude!
        Jo: That too.
Blair: Don't you know? That when somebody doesn't want you that's their problem.
        Jo: You really believe that?
Blair: Jo, you said it yourself this morning; you are what you are. And if that's not good enough they can just...
Jo: Blow it out their crank case?
        Blair: Yeah.
        Mrs. Garrett: Well said.
Jo: Yeah. Well... I knew that. But thanks for reminding me. You know Blair, you... you are what you are. And that's good enough for me.

      • Jo: That's right! I did not get the job! Did anybody miss that?! I did not get the job! Go ahead, Blair, hit me with your best shot, go ahead.
(A long pause while Blair says nothing)
Natalie: Oh Blair... you can do better than that. What's wrong with her?
Tootie: Who knows? Maybe she chipped her nail polish or something. You know how that depresses her.

      • Blair: I can be a good friend, you know! Even Jo says that, and she hates my guts.

      • Mrs. Warner: I just had another one of my brilliant ideas.
(Jo and Mrs. Garrett exchange looks of surprise as they realize where Blair's signature line came from)

      • Tootie: Are you sure you want to give up Saturday afternoons to go to work in a motorcycle shop?
Jo: (With a dreamy look in her eye) I wouldn't be going to work. I'd being going to Heaven.

      • Monica: It is not going to help me by cutting off my breasts!
Blair: They may not have to do that, it's not that automatic any more. There's so many other ways of treating this kind of... cancer.

      • Jo: (sarcastically) Oh, it is too bad I can't get a personality lift.
Blair: Oh, but you can. They call it a lobotomy.
