For her cousin Terry's birthday, Jo travels out to her Uncle Sal's home. There we are introduced to Terry, Jo's extremely tomboyish cousin that does a great job working in her father's gas station. At the rude remark of Tony, one of Terry's brother's friends, Terry finds she would like to act more like the girls her age. With a family of all men, Terry finds this may be harder than she thought, and she needs the help of Jo. In the end, Terry realizes that the change will be slow and difficult, but will help her find who she really is.moreless
