  • Mrs. Garrett worries becomes Tootie seems to be obssessed with Jermaine Jackson, her rock idol.

    1.2
One of the worst (if not THEE WORST) episode in the entire run of "Facts of Life". Tootie grates on my last nerve and neeeds to have the daylights slapped out of her! Excercise a little more discipline Mrs. Garrett. Tootie had responsiblities and is shown here as an immature, selfish brat! The episode does not present her in a favorable light and Kim Field's acting is too over-the-top. The fact that Jermaine Jackson barely gives her the time of day when she finally does meet him does nothing to present him in a favorable light and makes one wonder if all celebrities treat their fans in such a manner. This episode is a waste of time.moreless
  • Tootie becomes obssessed with Jermaine Jackson, super rock-star and will do anything to go to his concert. She gets a rude awakening at the concert.

    1.4
Tootie throwing a hysterical temper tantrum is annoying and stupid. Throughout the entire episode Kim Fields interpretation of an obsessed teenager is more annoying than sympathetic. I don't feel the least bit sorry for her. Why Mrs. Garrett didn't slap her out of her hysteria is beyond me! They let her get away with it because Mrs. Garrret says "I just don't know what else to do". Natalie retorts, "I definitely have to work on my kicking and screaming"! Indeed, the whole point seems to be that a teenager who throws a hissy fit when she doesn't get her way will ultimately get her way. I wanted to slap the fire out of Tootie and if I'd written this episode that's exactly what I would have done. Horrible episode.moreless
  • Marcia Brady meets Davey Jones, it isn't!

    4.5
Tootie drops Jo's school project when she learns that a PR of Jermaine Jackson's gives her free concert tickets!

Tootie goes into hysterics when Mrs. Garrett wouldn't allow her to go, that she goes into a frenzy tantraum. Then she remembers all those teenage girls wanting to see The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in person.

When Tootie goes backstage, she gets mobbed by other female fans & one lone male fan who want to meet Jermaine. When she gets her opportunity to meet him & give him a birthday gift, the bodyguards snatched her gift (thinking it was a bomb). After meeting Jermaine, she spots that same PR guy calling a lucky Jermaine fan from Philadelphia.

Preferablely, I like Tito better since he plays guitar.moreless
  • I've never seen Tootie so hysterical!!!

    7.7
At the beginning of this episode, we learn that Tootie is the president of Eastland's Jermaine Jackson fan club. Tootie becomes so involved in the club that soon, her schoolwork, and her friends become lower on her list of priorities. On the day Tootie is supposed to help Jo in a scholarship fair, she gets a phone call telling her Jermaine wants her to be a special guest at his concert for all of her hard work. Mrs, garret, being responsible and devoted to her girls, tells Tootie no, but she goes hysterical. Tootie and Mrs. garret end up attending the concert, only for Tootite to find out that maybe Jermaine isn't as connected with his fans as Tootie would like to think.moreless
