      • Margo: (To Molly) It's no surprise she's such a terrific waitress! I heard that's what her mother's been all her life.
Jo: You no good creep. (Jo starts to go after Margo but Blair stops her)
Blair: Wait a minute, Jo. Don't stoop to her level? A situation like this calls for a rational, civilized behavior befitting a school like Eastland where dignity is our motto. (Blair grabs a left over cream pie and shoves it in Margo's face)

      • (After guy that was inquiring about bus boy job leaves)
Natalie: He's gone. We are really being punished for our sins.

      • Girl: Are you talking to me little girl?
Jo: Yeah, blimp. And if you don't give it back, you're going to be wearing your face on the back of your head.
Girl: And you're going to do it, huh?
Jo: What do you want me to move first, your nose or your ears?

      • Tootie: My parents are going to disown me.That little black kid. No she ain't ours.

      • (After the guy that was inquiring about the bus boy job leaves)
Jo: You know, we could really use the help. Between working here and all our school work, we'll hardly have time to breathe?
Tootie: Or just rest. I need at least 8 hours sleep at night. If I'm dreaming, I'm messing around with Michael Jackson then I need 9.

      • (After the girls' come in from a days work in the cafeteria)
Blair: Every bone in my body hurts. My arms, my legs, my back, my nose.
        Jo: Your nose hurts?
Blair: I fell asleep during Algebra and my face hit the desk.
Tootie: If you think you got troubles. I fell asleep in gym class today and they used me as first base.
