  • This Episode Was Crazy!

    4.5
All I have to say about Beddy Bye is that I had never imagined living without sleep for that long. The Grass Is Greener kind of set a bad example for Timmy. His parents acted as if they felt they should never have had him. I do understand that parenthood can be expensive, but that doesn't mean that fancy items shouldn't be cheap as long as they actually work well enough.moreless
  • Does anybody miss episodes like this? Where Timmy's parents actually CARE about him? Yeah, me too.

    9.5
Beddy Bye: Although a tad overshadowed by its partner, I thought this episode was pretty great. The plot formula wasn't that great, as it felt just like 90% of the other episodes of the show, but there was some great humor to make up for that. I laughed so hard at Cosmo's sleep-deprived face and Timmy's at the end, the disco dancing, and Chester eating his pillow. The Sandman/Mattress King was also a funny character. Overall grade: A-.

The Grass is Greener: I don't mean to sound biased, but re-watching this episode on Netflix after several years of having not seen it made me nostalgic, especially Timmy's line "I'm totally loved" near the very end. Would you ever hear Timmy say that in the newer episodes? I didn't think so. Would you ever hear Mr. or Mrs. Turner tell Timmy "We love you" in the more recent episodes? Probably not. Timmy's parents really showed that they do love him in this episode, and the ending interaction between Timmy and his parents literally almost brought a tear to my eye, which is something this show doesn't do very often. The storyline to this episode was also very well done, I thought, and it was interesting to watch. There were really only two things I laughed at, Mr. Turner's burger exploding and the alligator near the end, but the storyline and emotional aspects of this episode definitely made it great! Grade: A. Marebear2009, out!moreless
  • Not too bad

    7.2
In Beddy Bye, Timmy is tired of always having to fall asleep at 9:00, and not being able to see what nighttime feels like. So Timmy wishes nobody had to have sleep, but of course, this goes bad now. Have no fear, the Sandman is here. The Sandman helps Cosmo and Wanda get some sleep so they can grant a wish.

In The Grass is Greener, Timmy feels his parents are miserable with him, so he decides to run away from home and become a carny. But once Cosmo and Wanda leave him, the other carnies are here too. But after a long chase, Timmy ends up home, and realizes that not only Cosmo, Wanda were always with him and the carnies were fairies (except the alligator man), but his parents were miserable without him.moreless
  • It was pretty good.

    7.4
Like I just said, this episode was pretty good. I liked Beddy Bye more than The Grass is Greener because Beddy Bye was at least funny. The Grass is Greener just seemed a bid sad to me. Timmy completely misunderstands when his parents wish they didn't have a son, because they spend so much money on him. Beddy Bye was funny because it had a moral in a way. How? Well, kids don't like to go to sleep, so this episode shows them what will happen if they don't get their sleep (although this was a bit exaggerated.)

So, these episodes were just average. Nothing too great, or too bad, about them.moreless
  • If I had to sleep next to Timmy after his sleep deprivation stage, I'd throw up.

    7.0
I really think things went downhill after this episode. After all, studies show sleep deprivation can make you really cranky. Timmy made a bad wish for himself. He'll never be the same. Plus, he just gets worse in the future. Plus, my theroy:

crankiness + bad attitute + snoring = public enemy #1. But that's just me.
