At some point of this thread, someone said all Americans are stupid and fat. I'd like to conterargue by pointing out Timmy's parents aren't fat.

Timmy's Dad: Thnak you. Hey, why didn't you say we're not stupid?

    Uh, never mind.

    ^ Yeah. That's why I don't watch tabloids.

Tabloid gossip only exists because of the audience that props it up, without one it would disappear and thus we hit the main problem of this western world.

Just my personal philosophy on this world and I once wrote about it in an essay at college. It's not Capitalism and corporations that are the problem as too many people think. It's the consumers who are buying the products, without them doing it a lot of the problems would start to go away and I went on explaining how you can apply it to other things etc.

^I agree with you! If people started boycotting prices and being more conservative, maybe the economy would right itself! But oh no, so many people are dependant on their materilistic things and would never do it...

I loved Roger Rabbit. Cartoons could smoke, swear, and really get dirty, but it was STILL funny for kids! Sheesh, today if Bart Simpson put a cigar in his mouth parents would flip..

    I agree. Censorship fails.

Shows like Ren and Stimpy could never be shown to children today on TV. :/

"They sure were violent in the 1940's"

You know when I watched some Ren & Stimpy again as an adult about 3 years ago I was really shocked by it. I couldn't believe what they got away with (same thing with Rocko's Modern Life).

Roger Rabbit bit of a shore spot as it was my nickname at school when I was younger Still one of those films I'll always watch again when I happen to find on TV sometimes.

I remember when it was a buzz word and everyone was exicted over it and I was like ''big deal so we've run out of 19 numbers so we have to go into 20s now, so what?" and there never was a year 0 anyway. They started counting at 1 so it was 2001 when it started and still it's all wrong even then because there's still even more to it than that but we end up hitting a touchy area of topic, but never a year zero that much is fact.
