  • "Sleep Over" is touching and funny; "Mother Nature" has cruel plot point

"Sleep Over and Over": This has great slapstick and a touching ending. Cosmo is funny here, and he and Wanda get some really clever writing after being attacked by the cat. Timmy possibly gets slightly rewarded for lying, but he also gets somewhat punished. My opinion: "Sleep Over and Over" is a great episode.

"Mother Nature": This is frustrating because it could have been great if it weren't for the destruction of Brightsville. The humor with the puppet is great, Timmy's mom's story arc is very satisfying and touching, and the wishes Timmy uses to save Dimsdale are very creative. However, an entire city is destroyed while goofy music plays on top of it, and it's really disturbing. It's sad because without that the episode would have been pretty great. Also, Cosmo is probably a bit too unlikable in wanting to join an angry mob. My opinion: "Mother Nature" is mediocre.moreless
  • Nice Fairly OddParents episodes.

Okay, I'll say this is better than a lot of other Fairly OddParents. episodes. No, I'm not saying I don't like The Fairly OddParents, I'm just saying that it's better than a lot of the earlier episodes.

SLEEPOVER AND OVER (7/10) - Okay episode, it's not boring, but it's not too great. It's got some good moments, like the "Carl," "Cindy," and "Jimmy" moments (obviously a reference to "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron - Boy Genius."

MOTHER NATURE (8.5/10) - Good episode, funny beginning. Good plot. Good episode. Although in real life I don't think they just guess the weather.

    Good episode.moreless

  • It was better than a lot of other episodes.

In the Sleep Over and Over episode Chester and AJ have a fued over a sleepover so there having two seperate ones. After Timmy tries to be at two places at once, he tries to make them work together by letting them save him which works out in the end. In the Mother Nature episode Timmy's mom is tired of getting ignored all the time so she becomes the weatherman(weatherwoman) to get all of thier attention, which turns out bad because everything she predicts will come true. In the end Timmy stops it with a nice array of wishes. I liked this episode a lot better than other episodes of this series because it had good morale. I didn't give it a great score though because some of the potty jokes(and that puppet thing...ew.) That's my review.moreless
  • 2 Terrific Episodes!

The Fairly Odd Parents: Sleepover and Over and Mother Nature are 2 amazing episode of TFOP. I like Mother Nature just a LITTLE bit better. Not by much though. Sleepover and Over is about Timmy finds himself in the middle of a feud between Chester and AJ, so he uses Cosmo and Wanda to make him appear at both houses. Mother Nature is about Timmy's mom enters a contest to see if she can be on the Weather Channel. Timmy wishes that whatever his mom predicts will come true, which leads to trouble. Overall, two awesome Fairly Odd Parents and I hope to see them on TV more.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • In Mother Nature, both of the previous weathermen names were related to weather, specifically rain. Stormy Raynes (the first weatherman) means clearly a stormy rain and Johnny Downpour's name means a heavy or coupious rain.

    • In Mother Nature, the mob's reason to want to lynch Timmy's Mom was because she predicted the weather wrong. This is incorrect because she did in fact predict the weather right, but it was a weather that would bring disaster to the town.

    • In Sleep Over and Over, when Cosmo is a junkyard dog and barks at Jimmy the Cat, he barks like a real dog. But later when he's in his human-fairy form, he just simply says "Bark bark!"

Reply: So he changed how he barked. No mistake here.

    • In Sleep Over and Over, AJ's dad blocks all channels that have violence. But in Ruled Out, AJ got to watch the Sewer Gator, which had violence.

    • In Sleep Over and Over, wouldn't it have been more easier for Timmy to wish for a clone to get to each other's sleep overs.

Timmy's cat suit resembles to the character, Hello Kitty.

This is a reference to the gelatin desert brand Jell-O, which popularity has led to become the generic name for any kind of gelatin in the market. That said, the mention of Jell-O would instantly mean gelatin.
