    I'm right here, dagnabbit!
This show was freakin awesome. Sadly, most americans never got this show at all.
I managed to catch it on a regular basis back in the 1970's at 2am on my local pbs station, and, have only ever found one other person who even saw this gem!
Lame city arizona i tells ya!
I didnt get where i am today by letting a show like this sneak past my radar!
anywhoos, to answer yer question, there are fans out there, but, not as many as this classic deserves.

This is my all time favourite tv show, watching it as a child is a defining moment for me. Leonard Rossiter is just genius and it's sad he doesn't get more credit for this show. I certainly prefer it to Rising Damp.

    I didn't get where I am today...

Rising Damp was great, but you're right. This show does not get the credit it deserves.

This show continues to influence me on a daily basis. I watched the show as a kid on Saturdays on our local PBS station that liked to show British comedies all afternoon. But to this day I still use "1,2,3,4 make them wait outside the door, 5,6,7,8 it always pays to make them wait,9,10, COME!". I wish this show would come out on DVD already.
