    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Trivia: When Superskrull flies toward Franklin Storm's cell, Daredevil (last seen in "And a Blind Man Shall Lead Them") can be seen swinging through the city. His alter-ego, Matt Murdock, is then mentioned by Sue moments later.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Sue: (opens photo album) Remember this, Johnny?
Ben: Aw, look: There's Torchy when he was just a little matchstick!

      • Reed: Hmm. The Skrull robot's third eye is open, but it's not firing. Obviously a targeting device! Ben!
Ben: Say no more, brain man. One super-sized Skrull shiner comin' right up!

      • (as Skrull reinforcements arrive)
Ben: Looks like we're gonna have to whup us a whole planet. Dig in!
Johnny: Just one planet? We'll be done by lunch!

      • Johnny: How was my acting there, Ben buddy?
Ben: De Niro ain't gonna be losin' any sleep.

      • Reed: (rolls up into a ball) Ben, play, uh... spheroid?
Ben: Ball. It's "play ball", ya nutty professor!

    • NOTES (2)

      • This episode is based on Fantastic Four #32 (Super-Skrull impersonating Franklin Storm) and Fantastic Four #37 (The team being brought to the Skrull's planet and losing their powers).

      • The Invincible Man has appeared many times in the comics, although each time the costume was worn by a different person. Originally, it was Super Skrull, masquerading first as Franklin Storm, trying to present the FF with a foe they could not fight (a storyline that this episode is based upon), then a brainwashed Reed Richards wore the costume, and most recently Doctor Doom.
