The FBI Story is a 1959 television movie starring James Stewart as John
Michael "Chip" Hardesty, Vera Miles as Lucy Ann Hardesty and Murray
Hamilton as Sam Crandall. Being a FBI agent is a tough job, and this
movie looks at the life of a FBI agent during some of America's most
challenging times. Told from the viewpoint of a FBI agent, the stories
include investigations into the Ku Klux Klan, the mafia and Communist
spies. The FBI Story won third place at the Laurel Awards in 1960 for
Top Action Drama.
