      • Christopher Birt is credited as Chris Birt.

      • Christopher Moynihan and Constance Zimmer previously guest starred together on the finale of Jenny McCarthy's sitcom, Jenny. The episode, "A Girl's Gotta Come Through in a Clutch," was never broadcast by NBC.

      • The series was supposed to move to 8:00 Eastern/Pacific on this night, with only the pilot airing at 8:30 in between two episodes of Frasier. But when the ratings for the premiere came in -- and were better than expected -- NBC adjusted the schedule for this week and the next, bumped DAG and kept Fitzgeralds at 8:30 in a Frasier sandwich, so as to improve its chances of success. (Judging by the lack of a second season, it didn't work.)

      • Following the broadcast of this episode, NBC ordered an additional four episodes for a first season total of ten.
