Mitch takes the case of Joey Morolto's good friend and business adviser, Patrick Walker, who has been charged with murder. Joey is convinced his friend is innocent and tells Mitch that if he gets Patrick off, everything between their families will be square. Mitch takes the case in the hopes of finally putting everything behind him and his family. Meanwhile, Abby makes a deep realization about herself and helps her mother look into possible misappropriation of funds at the Community Center.

Ray: Nothing. Just you not caring about the truth. We've, ah, come along way.
