  • Just not great

It's an interesting drama but I fear that the whole firm situation will not be good enough. The episode in itself was fairly good though. The serial killer thing and moral problems were once again highlighted, how many more times can they do it...

    • (at Kinross and Clark's offices)
Abby: Wow, look at this place, this is really beautiful.
Andrew: Let me guess, you were expecting more mahogany and marble?
Abby: I think so. (laughs) You know shallows and leather and at least one gargoyle.

    • Alex: You know I consider it a point of pride that I've never tried a case in front of a jury.
      Mitch: Is that true?
Alex: Juries love facts, whereas I find facts often get in the way of a winning argument.

    • Bradley Halverson: So, Mitch, I wanted to ask about your practice.
      Mitch: Oh, sure.
Bradley Halverson: Well, Andrew says you were once a money guy, bankruptcy law, tax. We could use you.
Mitch: Nah, I considered it and actually I did do some tax work for a while, but it wasn't my thing.
Bradley Halverson: Uh huh, and what particular thing wasn't your thing?
Mitch: Ah, I don't know, waking up in the morning helping billionaires beat the tax code, that kind of thing.
Bradley Halverson: Ah, I see, you're a moralist. So instead you spend your day defending criminals.
Mitch: I spend my day making sure that no man's freedom or future is taken from them unjustly. We both defend criminals, Brad. The difference is I'll admit it to anyone and you won't even admit it to yourself.
