The Trickster escapes from his trial and brainwashes the Flash.
  • A good episode for the Trickster to emerge once more in having a final showdown with the Flash, but too bad the ending ruins it completely.

This is probably my favourite Flash episode because it really has a cool twist of drama to it. It's filled with joy, love, tragedy and humor. Once again, the psychotic Trickster has return, and he is more meaner and crazier than ever who appeared previously from the episode titled "The Trickster". The episode also introduces a new character named Zoey Clark, an owner of Clarx Toys store who is a huge fan of the Trickster and would do anything to get her hands on him. One day, she helps the Trickster escape from his trials in court without him aware of it and brings him to the toy store. From there she confesses her love to him saying that she finds kindred spirit in him and wants to be his fantasy sidekick Prank. She takes her clothes off to reveal the Prank costume underneath and seduces him back into crime.

Meanwhile, Barry Allen and Megan Lockhart deals with some personal issues that they are currently facing with each other and of course Tina McGee is involved with it. Typical love triangle thing. After a brief "reunion", both the Trickster and Prank kidnaps the Flash and brainwashes him into evil, and soon the fastest man alive becomes the crazed clown's new partner, demoting Prank terribly. She gets jealous of the Trickster treating the Flash a lot better than her and this results into a heartbreak. Prank begs the Trickster to stop doing this but her so called "fiance" ties her in her own toy store and leaves her there for being such a nuisance.

After managing to break free, Prank tries to win the Trickster's heart back by rescuing him again after he fails to bring Central City into trial and the fact that the Flash's brainwashing effect begins to wear off. The Trickster is impress with Prank's effort after "treating you like dirt". Prank blushes very deeply and simply says I love you with a passionate smile. But instead of a lovely re-reunion together, the Trickster shows his gratitude by pushing Prank out of the getaway car and runs off solo, leaving Prank behind again. So in the end, both the Trickster and Prank are apprehended.

I really wish they make a better ending because both the villains were arrested in a very sudden way. It made me curious to see more than that. And not to mention the chemistry between Allen, Lockhart and McGee is just too typical and weak to see. But other than that, this is my all-time personal favourite episode of all the Flash series.moreless

  • QUOTES (8)

    ADD QUOTES
    • Trickster: I'm gonna make you pay too, Allen. You and your little cupcake girlfriend Megan Lockhart. And the Flash! The big red freak! He'll pay the going rate 10 times over. Because nobody tricks the Trickster. Nobody!

    • Zoe Clark: I'm carrying the Trickster's child. Officer Murphy: Well you're just gonna have to carry him right back where you came from, lady.

    • Trickster: Maybe I should be defending myself. Denise Cowan: Don't be a fool. Trickster: I can't help it.

    • Trickster: It's a beautiful day in my neighborhood. You want to be my neighbor? Flash: Stop it, Jesse. Prank: The Trickster to you. And I'm Prank. Flash: I thought Megan was Prank. Prank: I'm Prank! Me! And don't you forget it.

    • (Prank tries to lift The Flash's mask) Prank: But don't you wanna see who--? Trickster: He is the mask. Without the mask, he's nothing. Bupkes, nada, zip. Just some boring, average, insignificant jerk nobody cares about. He'll die alone and forgotten, watching game shows in an empty apartment with cats.

    • Flash: It's not guns that kill people. It's these little hard things. (throws bullets at Officer Bellows)

    • Flash: Hey, I could vibrate my fingers through somebody's brain! Trickster: Oh ho ho! Gross. Well, maybe later.

    • Trickster: Are you prepared to carry out sentence, Mr. Executioner? Flash: Uh...no. (speeds off and grabs multiple weapons) I, uh, can't decide which to use! Trickster: Well. That's why they call me the hanging judge.
