  • Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles not only talk, they sing for the very first time!

This episode is nothing short of a true masterpiece, because it truly is a true masterpiece! It was truly amazing to see the two young babies getting to sing the very great song (and Hanna-Barbera staple) "Open Up Your Heart and Let the Sun Shine In." At first, Fred and Barney naturally think that their singing and musical instrument playing will be a talent that will be beneficial to both the Flintstones and the Rubbles. But fame turns out to be a double-edged sword. Although everyone who hears the tiny toddlers loves them, their fathers don't get to spend any quality bonding time with them anymore, so the two dads are naturally upset by this new development. So husky Fred and short-stacked Barney plan to take back their kids, and let them have the childhood they deserve to have, as fame isn't something that the father's of the young infants want to have mess up their life. Even though it turns out that it only was a dream, Fred and Barney are glad to have babies who don't have to worry about being taken away from them, and they can grow up and live the life they were meant to live. This episode is a truly good episode which I highly recommend for anyone who wants to watch it! Enough said, true believers! ;)
  • Open Your Heart and Let the sunshine In!

One of the best episode in the six-year history of the series has something toi do with Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as rock stars. Fred is complaning that there are plenty of rock shows on the air. There are some music shows on the air in 1965. One such show is "Where the Action is" and others that appear in 1965. Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm had just been discovered for their singing talent and became rock stars overnight. Fred is unhappy with Pebbles and Bamm Bamm success, he'll do anything, even kidnapping them. I love this epsiode. Even when they sang, "Open your heart and Let the Sunshine in:" A classic song! a Classic episode!
  • Fred dreams that Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm become singing stars.

"No Biz Like Show Biz" was recorded April 13, 1965, and originally aired Sept. 17, 1965. As the season premiere, it was unusual in that it obviously was more expensive to produce. It also had unusual closing credits which featured a reprise of Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm singing on stage.
This has always been my favorite episode of the series.
    1. This episode features the "stereo" music opening with Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm.
    2. Pebbles gets her third outfit--a green shirt and white diaper.
    3. There are many "real" people mentioned or parodied in this episode: Eppy Brianstone and the Termites (Brian Epstein and the Beatles), Shirley Dimple (Shirley Temple), Dr. Freudstone (Sigmund Freud) and Johnny Rockson (Johnny Carson).
    4. I have never figured out who "Fritz deFritley" is based upon. Fritz is the guy Fred dresses up in disguise as. I wonder if Fritz is based on a real person involved in education in the 1960s. On the other hand, "Fritz" is also a German nickname for "Frederick."
    5. The song "Open Up Your Heart and Let the Sunshine In" was written by Stuart Hamblen, a country gospel songwriter, in 1953. There was a single version of the song released in conjunction with the episode, and the 45 is very pricey on ebay today. The flip side is also a children's religious song, about Sunday school. I have never learned who provided the singing voices of Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm on these two songs. Of course, two such tunes with such religious overtones could never be recorded for network television today!
