    This one of the funnyest epsiodes of the Flintstones!

    {Another Funny spoof was the Alvin Brickrock presents-a Spoof of Alfred Hitchcock}

    Would that all the Flintstones would have been just as funny and NEVER SERIOUS.

    The unnamed Sgt is a spoof of Sgt Bilko {of The Phil Silvers SHow} and how he cons our dopey dupes into being volunteers! By the way the old gag of dopes who accidently enlisted in the army isn't new. as in the Three Stooges shorts Half Shot Shooters and Boobs In Armsmoreless

    • Fred: We wouldn't be in the army if it wasn't for you two.
      Wilma: What? Do you mean to tell me I told you to join the army?
      Fred: You told me to go to 75 Main Street and take a physical and 75 Main Street is the Army Recruiting Office and they give physicals there.
      Wilma: (to Betty) Didn't you tell me 75?
      Betty: Maybe it was 57?
      Barney: All I know is it's Fred's fault.
      Fred: What do you mean my fault? It's Wilma's fault!
      Wilma: It's Betty's fault!
      Betty: (turns around) It's your fault!
      (Betty notices she's looking in a mirror)
      Betty: Wait a minute. Let's do that over again and I'll start it this time.

    • (After Fred and Barney reluctantly leave to report for Army duty)
      Wilma: How do they always manage to bollix things up, Betty?
      Betty: I don't know, Wilma...practice, I guess!

    • The professor's name is Von Pebbleschmidt, which is a parody of the various German doctors that the American government, and later NASA, hired, following World War II.
