      • [The RFDS is called to a man who's gone crazy]
Simpson: Don't touch me, ya hear?! I'm a messenger of God! Ya hear?! I'm an angel of the Lord!
Chris: (holding up a needle) And I'm the angel of mercy.

      • Geoff: How's the teeth?
Gibbo: Fine, nothing a new jaw wouldn't fix. Listen, now seems an appropriate time to bring up the subject of a bit of time off.
        Chris: Aw, not again, Dave.
Gibbo: Ah, give me a break, I'm wounded in action. Should be gettin' danger money.

      • Gibbo: That's it, Chris. I've had enough. I've been hauled away from my breakfast, I've been hit in the face twice in one morning, and now some loony toon is breaking up my airplane. Now either I get some time off right now, or you can find yourselves another pilot.

      • [About getting a private relief pilot]
Geoff: Well, look, if it's gonna to stop Dave whinging about what happened to the Nomad, I mean, I'd fly with the Devil himself.

      • Frank: (to Joe) Hey! Oh, look at ol' ugly 'ere! Still takin' those ugly pills, are ya?

      • Gibbo: G'day, sweetheart. How's it coming?
Emma: Well, Dave, the uh good news is that there's this bloke in Brisbane who's got a spare one.
        Gibbo: Spare what?
Emma: Well, that's the bad news. Fuel pump.
Gibbo: Why, what's wrong with it?
Emma: Well, technically it's what we in the trade call, uh knackered.

      • Geoff: You know, Kate, that wasn't what I'd call a really strenuous clinic session.
Kate: Huh, you don't have to weigh those babies. Mrs Godfrey's taken up breeding sumo wrestlers.
Geoff: Don't complain, it does wonders for the biceps.

      • Emma: Where's Zep?
Gibbo: Ah, Geoff's looking after him for me. They've been getting along fine since Zeppelin stopped eating his shoes.

      • When Chris revokes Gibbo's leave.
Gibbo: Fair go, even Tom Callaghan at his worst wouldn't have done that to a bloke.

      • Geoff: You still love him very much, don't you?
Chris: Most of the time. But sometimes I hate him for leaving me. teary I just miss him so much.
Geoff: Come on. hugs Chris Come on.
Chris: Oh, I must sound like a fool.
Geoff: Well that's okay in this town. I think being a bit odd goes with the place.
Chris: Yeah. Yeah. You know I swear I'm gonna leave, but I never seem to get around to it.
Geoff: Well, as Sharon told me the other night. Sooner or later, everyone comes back.

      • Gibbo: I must say Emma, for someone who has wrecked my entire holiday, you're taking this very calmly.
Emma: Well, why not, it's not my holiday is it?
