      • Geoff: You're a cruel woman, Randall.

      • Nancy: Pity you weren't leaving yesterday, you could have travelled with Violet. She'd have been good company for you.
        Geoff: I think I'll survive.

      • About Violet
Hurtle: It'll ruin her ballet career I reckon, knowing she's a great grandmother.

      • Hurtle: Hippies in town, 'ey? That'll stir 'em up.

      • Josh: No drugs, no drinking, no cigarettes.
        Hurtle: No kidding.

      • Hurtle: What, no booze, no smokes, no smokes? What about, ahh... makes a hand gesture
        Josh: That? To Emma Yes.
Hurtle: I was gonna say food.

      • Kate: Good ride?
Sam: Yeah. Ran into these hippies. Wouldn't trust 'em as far as I could throw 'em.
Chris: Oh, I don't think they're too bad. I was a hippie in my student days.
        Kate: You?
Chris: Mmm. But I burnt my caftan a long time ago.

      • Geoff: The city's in such a state. I mean, I don't know whether they're pulling it down or building it up.

      • Jack: (To Hurtle) You were lyin' there like the King of Siam, like, like a kelpie in season. I've never seen anything so disgusting in me life.

      • Kate: To Geoff I think you're more of a country boy than you think.

      • Geoff: I didn't think you were the type to fall for that sort of nonsense. They're probably made by exploited Asian workers.
Kate: Skye makes the scarves herself.
        Geoff: Skye?
Kate: Yeah, she hand paints them. What's the matter, Geoff, you go away for a couple of days and you come back full of city cynicism.
Geoff: What city cynicism? I'm just not as gullible as you guys, that's all.
Kate: And what's wrong with the name Skye anyway?
Geoff: Sorry, Tree. Or should we call you Possum, like Sam's horse?

      • Sam: For a moment there I thought that... well you and that Woodstock refugee bloke were... well you know, sorta...
Emma: Come on, mate, I'm not that stupid.

      • Geoff: Something's not working. Sydney's changed, or maybe it's me. What I'm trying to say is that when I'm in Cooper's Crossing I miss Sydney, and when I'm in Sydney, I miss Coopers Crossing. Am I going crazy?
