  • A well thought out and made Christmas episode!

    10
Over the years, there have been many great X-Mas episodes. 'Deck the Halls' is a uniquely thought out and made Christmas episode. I had many laughs, the acting was just brilliant and the story was great!

This episode was brilliantly directed and produced and I had a blast with it:)
  • Christmas time at tne Banks House

    8.0
This was the first Christmas episode of the series and I enjoyed it. I liked how Will was truly into the Christmas spirit like a child. I also liked how he was trying to get Ashley into it. The decorations for the house was something I like. While it was over the top, it was not gaudy at all. While not a Christmas classic this was a very nice episode.
  • this was a good ep

in this ep of the fresh prince its christmas time and will wants to show ashley was christmas is really about so he ask vivan to be able to go get the decorations till he realizes there not the right ones for the holidays if he wants to show her so he goes gets regular ones that you would see at avarge homes way back in philly and ashley really likes them and is excited about them but the neibors are not they come over and complaine asking them to take them down phillp and vivan dont know what to do till ahsley sees carlors come to the door and realizes they need to stay up and the neibors agree this was a good epmoreless
  • Will decrates the mansion...only to find a lot of ticked of neibors including world boxing champion Evender Holyfield and ex-president Regan.

    6.0

For me this episode was just Alright, it had its up's and it had its down's. Theres a few things that I liked in the episode and a few I didn't. Its cristmes time at the banks household and Will feeling homesick decides to help ashley decrate the house only to make a lot of neibors mad.

One thing I did like about this episode that it had lots of guest stars like: Evender Holyfield and Micheal Launder.

I like the genral idea of the episode of Will going to great lenghts to decrate the house only to find out that a bunch of snubby rich neibors disapprove

But the episode was not..I guess "fun" enough, it was simple just an easy going Fresh Prince cristmes episode. I thought that they should've done something more exciting for a cristmes episodes {like they have in future seasons}.it Was just too boringmoreless
  • Deck The Halls

    9.1
It’s Christmas time and Vivian agrees to let Will decorate this year… big mistake! This episode is very funny and has terrific jokes such as Geoffrey being in on the decorating, the lights being visible from the Freeway and the stars that come to the Banks’ house to complain about the decorations including a guy that ordered Will to put the decorations down on the phone but Will could tell by the sound of his voice that he could take him (though it turns out to be Heavy Weight Champion of the World).

Overall, the episode is entertaining and teaches Ashley a valuable lesson.

    • Title: Deck the Halls
The episode title is taken from a traditional Christmas song. The music to "Deck the Halls" is believed to Welsh in origin and was reputed to have come from a tune called "Nos Galan" which dates back to the sixteenth century. In the eighteenth century, Mozart used the tune to "Deck the Halls" for a violin and piano duet. J.P. McCaskey is sometimes credited with the lyrics of "Deck the Halls," but he only edited the Franklin Square Song Collection in which the lyrics were first published. The first publication date of "Deck the Halls" is 1881. The author is unknown but the words are said to originate in the United States.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Philip: Ashley's right, what are we fighting about? We all used to love Christmas, now we take everything so seriously.

    • (Ashley's lack of interest leads to Geoffrey cutting his puppet show short)
Will: Thanks a lot, Ash, now I'll never find out what Santa gets for Christmas.
Ashley: He doesn't really get an actual gift, Will, he gets the love from all the kids around the world.
Will: Really? That sounds like a rip off to me.

    • Will: Come on, Ashley, let's write our letters to Santa.
Ashley: Will, don't you have something better to do with your Christmas vacation than writing some silly letter?
Will: Come on, Ashley, you can help me with mine. How do you spell Vanessa Williams?
