Yeah that was sad, but for me it'll have to be 'Papa's got a Brand New Excuse'. That episode made me cry at the end! I'm sure others will agree with me...

Yeah I don't EVER cry at movies//tv but at the end of "Papas Got a Brand New Excuse" I felt sorry for Will when he started to cry and Uncle Phil hugged him but I almost lost in when the credits rolled and it was a close-up of that figurine Will was gonna give his Dad . I came so close to crying there....

And in the final episode, as Will takes one look at the empty house he spent six years in so big and full of life, now totally empty, and the house is gone, as he just turns out the lights and looks back one last time, then Carlton came running down the stairs with no pants on trying to catch up with someone for one final laugh, then Will laughs and it's back to being sad as Will walks out the back door and the producer credit fades up one last time as the screen goes black.

Yeah I agree with everyone. The episode when Carlton took the drugs from Will's locker, The "Papa's Got A Brand New Excuse", and the episode when Carlton didn't get into the fraternity. But the saddest was the final episode, because Uncle Phil (James Avery) I think was really sad because the show was ending. Everyone was sad because Will was getting  so many movie offers, that he couldn't possibly do both the show and movies. I think the show probably would lasted at least 2 more seasons. Maybe three.

Oh and the episode when Will was shot at the ATM and he cried at the end when Carlton gave him the gun.

I think it was " Papa's got a Brand New Excuse". But the ones that really got me were the final episode and the one where will gets shot.

I would have to say the episode when Will got shot. Carlton had brought a gun to the hospital when he visited Will.

Pretty much all the episodes mentioned already. However, especially the final episode. That one was sad because it was all coming to an end. I didn't cry, but it was definatly sad.

I think the episode with Will's father was so touching. Will's acting ability so was amazing in the closing scene. You could feel his pain. That scene was so intense. His final comment was "Why don't he want me". There was something so innocent about his tone and his body language. I tear up just thinking about it. It was raw emotion.
