  • Great episode mixed with great comedy and emotion

    8.5
This is one of the better episodes as it had quite a lot of humor and even emotion. The character Ice Tray was extremely funny and great and he added quite a lot of background story to Will, which makes you like Ice Tray's character.

The other great thing about this episode is that Phil and Vivian didn't have an issue with Hilary and Ice Tray.

A great episode and a must seemoreless
  • Will's friend comes to visit

    7.5
A good episode but not as good as last one. I liked seeing Will's friend from his home in Philadelphia come visit. This episode was a step forward in Hilary's character that you see in later episodes. I think this was the first episode that showed Phillp's appetite. He was always a big man but that part the show never will really showed much of until now. This episode also showed Geforry role in making jokes. The best part was seeing the exchange between Viv and Will. It also showed Will's past in that he is actually smart (which they also showed in the pilot with the piano) but also liked to have fun as well. A nice episode with some good laughs.moreless
  • Since Will is feeling homesick, Vivian decides it would be a good idea to bring his best friend Ice Tray to Bel-Air for a visit. The joke is on Uncle Phil, who freaks out after Ice Tray and Hilary become romantically attached.moreless

    9.6
This is by far one of the best episodes of the first season. Uncle Phil's numerous puns on the name 'Ice Tray' help make the episode laugh-out-loud funny. Philip calls him 'Ice Pick' and 'Ash Tray.' At one point he refers to him as 'Ice Box,' but then comments "I'm sorry, that would be a stupid name." Equally funny is the interaction between Will and Ice Tray. Their jokes about the girls they both dated are extremely comical. It is also neat to see how the Banks family reacts to Ice Tray. Philip thinks it can't get worse than Will, but Ice Tray's street persona is even more over the top than Will's. In the end, however, Uncle Phil gets the last laugh.moreless

  • Will's friend Ice Tray comes to visit...

    9.7
Another great installment from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Will's friend Ice Tray comes to visit, and he and Hilary become infatuated with each other. Uncle Phil is not happy about this, and Aunt Vivian also loses it when she believes that they have gotten married. He appears to be a burden on the entire family, and Vivian finally confronts Will about him. What was really touching was Will's explanation for Ice Tray's behavior. He told her that he was so busy protecting Will from bullies that he was never able to take care of himself. In the end, Vivian tells Ice Tray to take care of himself. The funny parts, such as Phil and Ice Tray's sarcasm towards each other, was also enjoyable.moreless
