In this episode, there are news cameras in Uncle Phil's court room. But in The Script Formerly Known As, no cameras were allowed in his court room.
Carlton: I say we treat this as a code-1 priority. We need to seal the perimeter. I want four cars on 24 hour servalience, sharpshooters on the roof, and a K-9 team. And remember... we're working with a nut here.
Detective Simmis: And who are you?
Will: He's the nut we're working with.
(Will looks through infared-goggles)
Will:(to Carlton) I can see right through your clothes with these things... No wonder you're so shy.
(Carlton brought in a stuffed dummy)
Carlton: Safety-Guy is a life sized simulated man.
Will: And you're a pint sized simulated man.
Carlton:(to Philip) Until we get you to the court-house, we will be watching your every move and protecting you at all costs. Trust me: we are a well oiled machine.
(cut to a scene in a car)
Will: Looks like you're well oiled machine just ran out of gas.
(Geoffrey hands Carlton a note)
Carlton: It says "I'm gonna kill you Banks."
Will: Yo, its a death-threat against Uncle Phil.
Carlton: Dad? Oh, thank God. I thought it was for me.
(Carlton walks in with the safety guy dummy)
Carlton: Look who I found.
Ashley: Its the dummy.
Will: And he found safety guy.
Carlton: At least I'm trying to obey the law unlike somebody else in this car.
Juggles: Hey, hey, hey. Don't make me get rid of you.
Carlton: How do you plan on doing that? Throw me out the window like you did Safety Guy. Deep underneath the chiseled body was a man of his word and you got him run over by an 18-wheeler. You BASTARD!
Carlton: Dad grounded me for a month for coming home late.
Will: You deserved it. You got everyone's hopes up, than came back.
Carlton: Alright pal state your name and business.
Juggles the Clown: Who the heck are you?
Carlton: Never mind who I am and wipe that smile off your face and tell me your name.
Juggles the Clown (in a kind of voice): Juggles.
Carlton: Well look (juggles), take what you're here for and get out of here. So come on. Lets go, move it out.
Will: Now Juggles, I'm going tell you something as a friend. You suck. It's not because people don't like you or they won't give you a chance. It's because you suck.
Carlton: Will I got a plan. You go create a diversion, while dad and I go slip out the back.
Will: And where does that leave me?
Carlton (with a disappointing look): You are so selfish.
When Carlton uses the word bastard, it's censored in the UK airing; however, it still appears in the subtitles.
This was the only episode to use a Teleplay By & Story By billing.
The title of this episode is an allusion to the Robert Graves novel titled, I, Claudius. It was first printed in 1934 and presented the life of the Roman Emperor Claudius. In 1976, the BBC adapted the book and its sequel into a television series.
