  • It's Mothers Day

After Jazz and Jewel get marred they decide to start a family. However after some failed attempts, they try to later get Will to help. Their attempts are pretty funny.. The music the producers choose was a great choice. The reactions of Will and Carlton were pretty funny. This time unlike in other previous episodes, there was a B Story. I did enjoy that there was a mothers day episode. The scene in the free clinic was good. It was funny the waiter was the same guy who was in the free clinic. My biggest complaint was that after Jewel was pregnant you didn't get to see any follow up on that.moreless
  • Mother’s Day

Jazz was developed a lot this season, getting married and in this episode getting his new wife pregnant, though not before putting Will through an entertaining decision on whether or not to be a donor as a wedding present (since the wedding itself doesn’t count) and there are a lot of funny scenes throughout the episode regarding the fertility clinic and Geoffrey’s instructions for presents by the kids.

There were a lot of holiday episodes in the fourth season (Halloween/séance, Christmas/christening, and Valentines Day) and the Mother’s Day episode sort of milks the holiday episodes but by no means makes the episode unentertaining and in my opinion, it’s a great example of the Fresh Prince, though it isn’t that original.moreless

Will: Are you sure you didn't kill her?

  • NOTES (0)

    • Will: Smith, Will Smith
This alludes to James Bond's famous introduction "The name's Bond. James Bond."

    • Will: Kinda like Johnny Appleseed without the apples, huh?
Johnny Appleseed, nee John Chapman, was an American pioneer and Christian missionary. He got his nickname because he planted apple trees in large parts of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. He was born in Leominster, Massachusetts, and became an American legend while he was still alive, being portrayed in works of art and literature. He is considered an early conservationist, what would be called today an ecologist. Will tells this to Mr. Considine because he donates his seed (sperm) without keeping the apples.

    • Will: Carlton, relax; I'll get you some new Barney sheets.
Barney is a large purple dinosaur that stars in a children's television show called Barney & Friends. The show debuted on PBS in 1992. In spite of being criticized as being excessively sappy and optimistic, it still is one of the most popular young children's television shows, creating a huge franchise around its star.
