Episode Summary

Will is on his best behavior for visiting royalty. The seemingly demure Lady Penelope has a wilder, hidden agenda in mind, though. A night on the town is more to her liking then a night at the opera. Can Will keep tabs on this wild one?

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Lord Fowler's stories were good enough to make this episode brilliant!

I loved this episode. Both plots were just completely hilarious in this episode, especially Fowler's stories and the Banks' reactions after a while. I loved Lady Penelope's little adventure as he pretends to be off to an opera. Something that Fresh Prince does so well, is that all the one time characters are just brilliant. Geoffrey also had his shining moments in this episode in particular when he takes on that guy at the pub and at the end of the episode. This is certainly deserving a viewing!moreless
  • Geoffrey's former employer and daughter for a visit

This was a step from the last episode. You get to see another side of Geoffrey in this episode. It's something I have always liked. Geoffrey in this episode kinds goes back to what he was in the pilot, stiff. But since this was the 19th episode, it was more enjoyable. He delivered his funniest line and one of the funnier of the series when he said "If all 895 members of parliament died all at once, she would the queen of England." Having Will trying to control the lady was interesting. Often someone is trying to get him to behave. Also having the role of Geoffrey's former employer role was a good choice. He was "boring" but not something that made you turn away from the episode. Overall I have enjoyed this episode.moreless

  • Nice Lady

The psycho girlfriend storyline has been done to death, but at this juncture, circa 1991, it was not that overdone nor that cliched. Will Smith played off her perfectly in one of the kind of performances that really defined the character, not the actor (although he would improve as the series progressed.)

And you cannot go wrong with a Jazz appearance, in any way, shape or form though. And his sister was well-cast as the psycho girlfriend, a role that I would have liked them to bring back at some point in the series.

Good episode of The Fresh Prince here.moreless
  • Nice Lady

We see Geoffrey’s first masters in this episode and it is quite entertaining to compare them with his present masters, the Banks.

The long, boring stories enough to put anyone to sleep is quite funny for the viewer as you can see just how interested the family is in the tales he spins.

One of the funniest parts of this episode is the beginning with Will being Jamaican, which makes me laugh every time.

Will wanting to take the car to the concert in Nevada was a great plot as he needed some reason to escort the Lady to the “opera” (“Opera? I thought she said Oprah!”)

Overall, this episode has some good lines but isn’t the best episode of the season compared to classics such as Lucky Charm and Knowledge is Power.
