  • Will and Phillp debate over what to give to Charity

    "Good"
I liked the start of this episode. It was classic sitcom that is not to over the top. In this episode you see, Will's charming ways at the charity banquet. You also see Will mentor a young man. I enjoy this. Not only does he mentor Ashley as well. The character of Will has always enjoyed kids. The kid that he is mentoring seems to be a nice kid. While at the charity banquet I thought it was a little over the top how lucky he was getting. When you find out where Will donated the winning check, you appreciate him more, but if you have been watching the whole series, it doesn't surprise you. This was a good episode with some nice moments.moreless

in this ep of the fresh price the family goes to a fun raiser and will and everybody are having a good time and at the end of the night it comes time to draw the lucky winner of the cash prize and it turns out to be will and he goes up there to get his picture taken and then he hears he is going to take another picture handing the money back and he laughs and walks away with the money and philp and vivan are outraged at that when they get home will meets this kid and he starts to do things with him and phipl still wants will to give the money back but will tells him that he did do something with the money he gave it to the kid to put towards his future and philp is happy with that . this was a good epmoreless
  • Something For Nothing

    10
    "Perfect"
This episode has my favourite opening sequence with Will sneaking in after curfew with great visual comedy from Will and the ending being perfect for the pre-credits scene, the music really summing up the hilarious sequence.

Carlton's odd booklet and Will's lucky streak make the episode even more entertaining, with great lines from each including "Wow, you're lucky, that could have been an asteroid" and "why is Michael Jordan with that kid from Home Alone?" as an odd combination for Carlton.

The ridiculous club tradition that the raffle is for no reason since the winner doesn't get the money anyway and Ashley beating Geoffrey in poker were both great plot turns and both Will's and Ashley's plots are entertaining throughout, combining to make one of the funniest episodes in season two.moreless

    • Hilary: You look great mother but that's not how you wear a halter. Vivian: It is when your breasts don't come with a receipt.

    • Will: Hey, Aunt Viv! Uncle...Phil? Whoa, you got that mad look in your eyes. Lemme guess? You grabbed Geoffrey's underwear by mistake. Am I right? Philip: Will, why didn't you give that check to charity like I told you to? Will: What are you talkin' 'bout? I did. Philip: Don't stand there and lie to me. Will: I'm NOT lyin'! Philip: I just got back from the club, and I've never been so humiliated. I thought we had an agreement that that money was going to go where it was most needed. Now, you march upstairs and get me the check. Will: I can't. The money's gone. Vivian: Will, how could you have spent $1,000 already? Ramon: Wow, Will! You must be loaded! You spent a grand and had another grand to give to me for basketball camp?! I gotta raise your shoeshine rate. Philip: You gave the money to Ramon? Will: Well, yeah. You know, it's just a loan, 'til his sneaker endorsement comes through, you know, around 2010.

    • (Philip and Vivian are debating going to the club) Philip: After what Will did last night, they are all going to be gossiping about us. Why put ourselves through that? Vivian: They won't be gossiping. Will gave the check back. Besides, people at our club aren't like that. I mean, no one cared about Mrs. Silverberg's divorce. Philip: I heard she's been seeing the golf pro. Vivian: I heard her husband caught them in the utility closet. Hilary: Did you know both of them were wearing nothing but cleats? Ashley: It was the tennis pro in the steam room, but the cleats part is right. (later at the country club) Philip: There must be some mistake. Mr. Firth: Oh sure, and Mrs. Silverberg was wearing cleats because she forgot her shower shoes.

    • (Will takes a look at the cover of Carlton's book) Will: How to Beat the Odds? Sorry, C. No way to beat it, you're odd.

    • Carlton: This is amazing! Did you know that the odds of getting hit by an asteroid are 1 in 6,000? Will: Really? I'm feelin' kinda lucky, man, why don't you go outside?

    • Carlton: I'm ready for Monte Carlo Night. I read this book from cover to cover. Ask me about any odd pairing. Will: Okay. Why is Michael Jackson hanging out with that kid from Home Alone?
