  • Valentine's Day 1994

    8.0
In the past four seasons, all of the characters of this show have grown. Some more then others. Ashley is the one who grow the most physically. In this episode you see Ashley as young beautiful women. When Will moved in, he became a second father/older brother to her. In this episode, you get to see him act more like Ashley's dad. It's not the first time this happened. Remember when Ashley first came to school. You get to see how much Ashley has grown the last time she had a problem with Will. I admire Will for trying to help her. The B Story was a little weak in that Phillp forgets Valentine's day and tried to make up for it. The C story with Hilary was better. Too bad you don't get to see Duane again.

Overall this was a good episode. Maybe I am looking into this too much but when Ashley sang (a good song and great job of signing by her) may have set up something later in the series.moreless

This Valentine’s Day episode was very entertaining, and also had to make Will see his cousin for a grown teenager, and for Philip to also give Ashley some respect, prompting the impromptu song at the end.

Hillary “cooking” is a great plot aswell, making toast and painting her nails while getting Geoffrey to do the rest and wondering why everyone says cooking is difficult.

Then Philip has the cliché forgot a romantic holiday plot but even that turned out quite well and it was great to see Will complain about a younger version of him hitting on his cousin, all the plots blending to make a great Valentines Day episode.moreless

    • When Hilary is hitting the fire on the stove with a frying pan, you can clearly see that it's a rubber frying pan.

    • Goof: Ashley tells Will she's not the same 11-year-old girl he met when he moved to Bel-Air, but in other episodes she said she was 9 when he moved into the house.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Phil: Ashley, I've circled some of the movies I feel will be appropriate for you and your (laugh) friend.
Ashley: (reading) Free Willy? Beethoven's 2nd? The Return of the Care Bears?
Phil: That was actually my first pick, and if your mother asks tomorrow, I didn't get any extra butter on my popcorn.

    • Will: Some guy's going to try to be all over you like cheese on a Big Mac.
Ashley: Will! Maybe I like cheese!
Will: How do you know you like something if you've never had it? Please tell me you ain't had no cheese, Ashley.
Ashley: (loudly) No, but if I want to have sex! (people stare at Ashley and Will) I do not need your approval!
      Will: It-it's cheese, Ashley.

    • Will: Oh don't give me that innocent boy look routine! I invented that routine! And you just a bad little dog ooh shame.

    • Will: (scoffs) Does this look a place to have fun? I don't think so, ain't nobody gonna have some fun around here! Not you, not me, not her!
Samantha: And definitely not me! Goodbye Will!
Will: Hey hey come back oooh what is her name!
