Garry's guests are songstress Patti Page, singer Alan Dale and comic Bob Lewis. Also with regulars Durward Kirby, Marion Lorne and Carol Burnett. Highlights: "That Wonderful Year" is 1926. From the opening "Christmas Bells" to the concluding "Birth of the Blues". Other songs from 1926 performed are "Someone to Watch Over Me", "Remember", "Blue Room" and "Sweet Georgia Brown". Durward and Carol do an old vaudeville and burlesque skit, someone accidentally getting drunker and drunker. The skit has Carol as a very regal princess, filming a brief toast to a distinguished doctor. The filming requires several retakes and re-toasts and Carol gets stonier and stonier.moreless
