In reality, Mosquito Lagoon is located in the northern part of the Indian River Lagoon system and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway which is just north of the "space coast". The Kennedy Space Center is located on the lagoon. The space coast is a good 4 hours from south Florida where the show is supposed to be located.
