    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (5)

      • A Broward County Sheriff's Office in Pembrook Park, Florida, within walking distance from The Glades stage, was used for the exterior of the station house in this episode.

      • Palm Glade Hospital is an actual working hospital that was closed and has been retained for filming by The Glades. Various areas are used for sets, like the entire 4th floor and the front lobby area.

      • While filming his shooting lessons with Jim, Uriah Shelton (Jeff Cargill) didn't actually shoot a real 9 mm handgun. He held a real one for his close-ups and a rubber one for the wide shots. A shooting instructor and State of Florida child welfare worker were both on hand to ensure Uriah's safety while filming these scenes. Matt Passmore (Jim Longworth) did actually use a real 9 mm with blank ammunition.

      • The sugar cane harvesting plant used in this episode is actually the Fort Lauderdale Compost Facility which recycles plant and lawn clippings for the city.
Since temperatures reached around 100 degrees with the humidity factor, the cast and the animals were provided with cooling tents during the sugar cane scene.

      • Dwayne Smith, who played Curtis Taylor the murder victim, performed his own stunt, having half his body buried and covered with insects and live maggots.
